|Horizon Utilities and Mohawk College announce student contest winners!|

Both of the one minute animated videos were the product of a partnership between Horizon Utilities and Mohawk College, designed to bring energy conservation and electrical safety to life!
Mohawk College students enrolled in the Graphic Design Production - Integrated Animation course produced clever, attention grabbing videos to help Horizon Utilities’ customers stay safe, conserve energy and save money!
"I enjoyed making an animation video that raises awareness about powerline safety in a creative and informative way. I hope my video will help others learn more about safety,” said Michelle Vuk, contest winner.
“We are thrilled with the results of this partnership. The Mohawk College students rose to the challenge and created impressive, impactful videos to help us deliver conservation and safety messages in a new, exciting format,” said Eileen Campbell, Vice President, Customer Services. “We are looking forward to teaming up with Mohawk College again this year and have expanded the initiative to include first year students.”
“Thank you to Horizon Utilities and Professor Richard Dudley for making this great partnership possible,” said David Carson, Coordinator/Professor of Integrated Animation at Mohawk College. “The superior quality of work the students produced is a direct reflection of the education they received at Mohawk. The experience and exposure from this collaboration will certainly help them in their careers.”
