“What Was I Thinking?!?”
kitestring celebrates its second birthday with a BIG contest for small business!
Hamilton, ON –kitestring creative marketing + design, a small business of young creatives in Hamilton, is officially two years old on October 1st! To celebrate, they’re holding a BIG contest for new, small businesses, and giving away up to $15,000 in creative stuffs!
Launched this October 1st by kitestring creative marketing + design, the “What Was I Thinking?!” Contest asks new, small businesses in the Southern Ontario area to enter their worst design and marketing muck-ups for a chance to be voted winner of the grand prize; up to $15,000 of creative stuffs!
This is a call to all new, small businesses: Get ready to enter! Get ready to vote online! Then, wait to see who will be voted worst to win!
Maybe you know someone who should enter. Like a new entrepreneur that doesn’t like to give out their business card because they were designed in some unlucky parent’s basement by a guy who swears by youtube tutorials. Or a new business owner who has gone though the branding, print or web design process and came out the other end with nothing but some dumb t-shirt or a really ugly tri-fold brochure. That is who should enter this contest. Maybe that business is yours.
“ It all started with a dream, elbow grease, and a very long spool of string,” says Chris Farias, kitestring’s imaginitarian + partner. “Thinking back to how much love went into our brand to launch it as we know today, we wanted to give back something similar to small business entrepreneurs getting started around us with a BIG contest.”
Contest entry runs for 15 days, closing October 15th. Eligible entrants must fill out the form on our website and send samples of their design muck-ups to whatwasithinking@kitestring.ca. The entries will be widdled to a shortlist of ten by the kitestring judging team and then an online public vote on the contest website lasting from October 19th to October 30th will reveal which entrant has the worst design or marketing muck-up. The entry voted worst will win the “What Was I Thinking?!?” Grand Prize, announced Friday October 30th, 2009.
“We think that reinvigorating your brand is the key to staying fresh in today`s market,” says Jenn Hudder, account director + partner. “kitestring went through a rebranding of its own website, launched today. The new look showcases bright colours and our fun personality.”
kitestring creative marketing + design decided to set up shop in Hamilton in 2007 because they believe in the city’s potential. The young team of creatives has been busy this year organizing TEDxHamilton and working with large and small organizations in Ontario.
